My travels in Cambodia were comparatively short, spending only one week in the country. I reached Phnom Penh just before a national holiday and hence the royal palace was partially closed.
The highlight of the trip was the visit of the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor. With its legendary temple complex, it is rightfully considered one of the wonders of the world. Angkor Wat itself seems almost a disappointment, though that is mostly because it is so hyped in the media. The other temples in the Angkor complex, partially hidden in the jungle and with truly magnificent reliefs, make this place truly extraordinary.
This site shows a selection of photographs from the respective places I visited in Cambodia. My trip to Vietnam, where I went before going to Cambodia, is documented here.
